In some big news, I have a new short story coming in an anthology that includes all Stephen King Dollar Baby Filmmakers. The book will be called Keys to the Kingdom, and the editors are Paul Inman (That Feeling) and Billy Hanson (Survivor Type).

The book is up for pre-sale right now at Inkshares. We need to get 750 pre-shares before June 10 to lock in the widespread publishing deal, which will see Inkshares create the book (title, editing, marketing, sending to bookstores). At the time of this post, there were 113 pre-orders on the first day and a half.

Here is who will have short stories in the book (and several names are from my Dollar Deal book):

  • Billy Hanson (Survivor Type, Bone Cold)
  • Paul Inman (That Feeling, Thirst of the Dead)
  • James Renner (The Man From Primrose Lane, Scout Camp)
  • Jay Holben (Paranoid, Dexter)
  • James Douglas (The Doctor’s Case, Wicked Ways)
  • Stephen Tramontana (A Very Tight Place, Killer Piñata)
  • Julia Marchese (I Know What You Need, Out Of Print)
  • D.F. Jester (One for the Road, Stay Safe)
  • Jennifer Trudrung (Here There Be Tygers, Halloween Kills)
  • Chris Ethridge (Survivor Type, Haven’s End)
  • James B. Cox (Grey Matter, Call of the Void)
  • Rodney Altman (Umney’s Last Case, Killers of the Flower Moon)
  • Bolen Miller (All That You Love Will Be Carried Away, DELILAH)
  • Shawn S. Lealos (I Know What You Need, Dollar Deal: The Story of the Stephen King Dollar Baby Filmmakers)
  • Robert Cochrane (Luckey Quarter, Boys of Summer)
  • Jackie Perez (Beachworld, Bad Vibes)
  • Mando Franco (The Boogeyman, Reaper Road)

As for my story, I will discuss it more on March 26 at 7 p.m. CST in a live stream on Facebook Live and YouTube. Those familiar with my filmmaking career should recognize the title of the story—This Is Hell. This was the name of a short film Rob and I were working on but never finished. The short story is not the same as the short film but has the same basic theme and will be dedicated to Rob’s memory.

The book costs:

  • eBook – $10
  • Paperback – $20
  • Super Reader – $60 (includes three books with your name included as a “thanks”)

A collection of chilling original tales from the minds of Stephen King’s Dollar Baby filmmakers — where the past won’t stay buried, evil lives forever, and survival is never guaranteed.
